I haven't really had good reason to submit a blog entry for a while. This was, until last night, when I watched a film called Into the Wild (2007). It was brilliant, truly brilliant.
I had no idea what to expect and was completely unfamiliar with the film's premise.
The acting was fantastic, the scenic photography beautiful, the musical score wonderfully complimentary, the storyline was compelling and the writing (including lots of well-quoted inspirational or thought-provoking prose) sublime.
I can't recommend it enough. I hardly ever see a film and think "this a Top 10er!" but this was the exception. Without doubt one of the finest films I've ever seen.
Having watched Charlie Wilson's War, Juno and now Into the Wild I feel like 2008 might have exhausted it's ability to provide good films!
Go and watch Into the Wild - I've intentionally given nothing away here so you can go and immerse yourself in it without preconceptions..
Fantastic, 9.5/10.
